Programs and Services

Kids Klub, our after-school program, is for impoverished children ages 5-18 and takes place each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Ministry vans pick up children from their neighborhoods and/or schools and transport them to the campus of Jordan Outreach Ministries. While there, they participate in supervised activities (sports; arts and crafts; playground; swimming (seasonal); tutoring; homework assistance, and a variety of games); enjoy a hot, delicious meal; join in on a time of singing and music; and participate in an enriching Chapel service where they learn about Jesus Christ and His incredible love for them. Children are then transported home safely in the ministry vans or picked up by their loved ones. Participation is free for everyone and drop-ins are always welcome.

Jordan Outreach Ministries provides bulk food sacks, clothing, and personal hygiene items to families in need on a weekly basis as part of our Food and Clothing Distribution Program. Families hear the message of the Gospel, then receive food sacks filled with dry goods, canned and packaged items, fresh and/or frozen meats (when available), fruits and vegetables, and other perishable goods.

In addition, Jordan Outreach Ministries goes out into impoverished trailer parks, neighborhoods, and migrant farm worker camps each week to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and distribute food bags and other items to families in need.

In addition to our weekly Food and Clothing Distribution Program, which helps supply these goods on a regular basis to families in need, we also meet needs on an emergency basis as well.

Each Monday evening, staff and volunteers load up our ministry trucks with food bags and other items and head into trailer parks, migrant worker camps, and projects. They set up a stage and chairs where men, women, and children gather to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ and receive bulging sacks of food for their family. Children never leave empty handed - each one is given candy and/or goodies just for them.

Family Counseling is available for those who need encouragement, guidance, and support. All counseling is biblically based and free of charge.

This is way of demonstrating God's love in action. Special events are as follows:

• Easter Party: Children in need enjoy hunting for Easter eggs filled with goodies, playing games, and eating a delicious barbecue lunch. A special Easter Chapel service is also a part of this fun-filled event.
• Mother's Day: A special day just to honor Moms. Live music and an encouraging gospel message is presented, followed by Moms receiving bulk food and a special gift bag just for them.
• Mother's Day of Pampering: A special day just for impoverished moms to be pampered.  Each mom receives a mini-makeover including a hair cut and style, a manicure, a fresh make-up application; plus a special catered lunch.  Moms receive special gifts and flowers to honor them for their hard work as mothers throughout the year.  A special Chapel Service also accompanies this event.
• Back To School Giveaway: Children in need each receive a brand new backpack filled with grade appropriate school supplies. A special Chapel service including live music is also a part of this fun-filled event.
• Fall Festival: A carnival-style event (held on October 31st each year) with game booths for winning prizes and lots of candy. Kids and their families also enjoy a barbecue dinner followed by on-site “trick or treating”. A special Chapel Service also accompanies this event.
• Thanksgiving Feast: Impoverished families gather to hear live music and a powerful gospel message, then they receive an entire thanksgiving feast to take home to their family. Feasts include a large, whole turkey; a dozen tortillas; rice; beans; fresh potatoes, onions and carrots; stuffing mix; mashed potatoes; canned goods; dry goods; and an entire pie.
• Christmas for Kids features live holiday entertainment for the whole family, brand new toys for each needy child, plus goodie bags for moms and dads. Games, activities, and a special Christmas Chapel Service are also a part of this wonderful event.
